And I got to thinking, if you hold those views, those emotions, and you go home and work on your next get rich quick scheme, how does that jive ...?

I saw a reference to the term "fat cat" as I was in the middle of doing some little bitsy thing on one of my sites, one of those that you know is not going to make you RICH, it's just a question of sending perhaps 20 visitors a month one way, instead of another. It then occurred to me that there's a metaphor in there somewhere ...

Here is something that really and truly MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL - the great web design rip off. That's when a small company, and sometimes a large company too, is charged THOUSANDS, sometimes tens of thousands, by some web designer who produces something that looks vaguely impressive to someone who doesn't know anything about web marketing, web presence and web design, hands it over, probably even charges some hideous site maintenance fee - and the web design company didn't do a single thing for SEO (search engine optimization), didn't do one thing to actually get some TRAFFIC TO THE SITE!!!

Ideas. When you're in business, you're always looking for "good ideas" to make your business grow, make the products better, add more services, stand out from the crowd, advertising opportunities and concepts, and so on and so forth.

I noticed with some interest that my ideas were getting more unusual and esoteric as time went by. I wondered why that was.

And then I figured it out!

Search engine optimization? Marketing with social networks and blogging? "Driving insane amounts of traffic to your website"? LOL ...

There is a lot of s*** about on these topics on the web, but I found someone who I like and who knows what they're talking about - The SEO Blog.
